Penny Hammel (born March 24, 1962) is an American LPGA golfer, joining the tour in 1985. She is best known for a 1979 PGA Junior Championship in which she finished five strokes ahead of her closest opponent. Hammel went on to play for the University of Miami golf team and eventually joined the LPGA tour in 1985. She won the Rolex Rookie of the Year award, and eventually went on to win a total of four victories on the LPGA tour during her career. Hammel still has playing status on the LPGA Tour, but has not played any tournaments since 2006.
