Penne all'arrabbiata is a Roman pasta dish consisting of penne (boiled in salted water) with Arrabbiata sauce (garlic, tomatoes, basil and red chilli, cooked in olive oil). The dish is usually served with chopped fresh parsley sprinkled on top. Meats (usually bacon) and vegetables can be used in this dish, as can other types of pasta.
All'arrabbiata means "angry style", and it's named as such due to the heat of the peppers.
It is featured in an Eddie Izzard standup routine entitled "At the Death Star canteen" that features an argument between Darth Vader and a cafeteria worker.
