Peng Jiamu

Peng Jiamu (1925-1980) was a Chinese biochemist and explorer, who was lost in the Lop Nur desert. His disappearance sparked a huge highly publicised and fruitless search. In late 1990s, a TV-series named "Searching Peng Jiamu" was broadcast across the People's Republic of China. In 2005 his skeleton may have been discovered.
