Penfield Central School District

The Penfield Central School District is a public school district in New York State that serves approximately 4900 students in portions of the towns of Penfield, Brighton and Pittsford in Monroe County, and Macedon and Walworth in Wayne County, with over 900 employees and an operating budget of $72 million (~$14,998 per student).[1]
The average class size is 21-25 students and the student-teacher ratio is 24:1 (elementary), 22:1 (middle-high school).[2]
John Carlevatti is the Superintendent of Schools.
The District's motto is "Developing Excellent Scholars and Responsible Citizens".

The Board of Education (BOE) consists of 7 members who serve rotating 3-year terms and one student representative. Elections are held each May for board members and to vote on the School District Budget.

In 2007, the district is starting a Facilities Project which will provide additions to Bay Trail Middle School and Penfield High School.
