Pen Tennyson

Penrose Tennyson (Full name : Frederick Penrose Tennyson) (1912 - 1941) was a British film director whose promising career was tragically cut short when he was killed in a plane crash during the Second World War. Tennyson gained experience as an assistant director to the legendary Alfred Hitchcock in several of his films in Britain during the 1930s. Starting from 1939, Tennyson directed three films before his untimely death.
He was married to actress Nova Pilbeam from 1939.
He was a great-grandson of the poet Alfred Lord Tennyson.
