[edit] Permission

To the anonymous person who created this page: Do we have permission to use those photos? - DavidWBrooks 14:44, 4 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Not anonymous and no permission required

I'm not anonymous. The photos were both taken by the USGS, a US government agency. Permission is not required. See USGS statement at USGS Disclaimer Statement:

"Information presented on this website is considered public information (unless otherwise noted) and may be distributed or copied. Use of appropriate byline/photo/image credit is requested."

If you wish to take the time to add image credits to the photos, be my guest, but it is not required by the USGS, only "requested." (You should have noticed that the Summary fields for both images clearly state that the photos were created by the USGS from the time they were first uploaded.) Good day. --Maande10 01:09, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
