The fascia of the pelvis may be resolved into:

• (a) the fascial sheaths of
  • the Obturator internus (Fascia of the Obturator internus)
  • Piriformis (Fascia of the Piriformis)
  • pelvic diaphragm (Diaphragmatic part of the pelvic fascia)
• (b) the fascia associated with the pelvic viscera.
