Pelham Parkway is an elevated station on the IRT White Plains Road Line of the New York City Subway. Located in the Bronx at the intersection of Pelham Parkway and White Plains Road, it is served by the 2 train (all times), and by the 5 train (rush hours [6:00am-9:30am] in the peak direction and rush hours [4:00pm-8:00pm] in the off-peak direction).
There is a windscreen over much of the station; only the south end escapes. A view over the south end railings reveal that the station originally had low concrete walls and windows, resembling the Queens Boulevard stations on the IRT Flushing Line. The station still has old lights on the platform. Evidence shows a removed sign near the south exit to the south mezzanine. In order to harmonise better with the wide parkway over which the station was built, the entire exterior of the station was stuccoed, including extra supports along the sidewalks (in addition to the plain steel supports down the White Plains Road pavement). These stuccoed supports effectively hide the steel supporting structure from parkway strollers and motorists. This station is currently under renovation, however the stuccoed supports will be preserved. There are two mezzanines, the south mezzanine to Pelham Parkway south is full time and will have ADA access to both platforms, with three elevators being installed. The north end at Pelham Parkway North is a part-time booth.
