Desa Gayam , also known as Pekon Gayam, is a small Indonesian village in the South Lampung province and under the sub-district of Penengahan. It is geographically located in the most southern part of Sumatra.
The area is sited in approximately 400s ft from sea level and mainly contains green plantation, rice fields, and a relatively dense unstructured housing pattern.
Since most of its inhabitants are farmers, the main productions of the village are coffee, rice, pepper, fruits (banana, coconut, and durian), and other plantation results. The village is populated by mostly Lampungese, small numbers of Javanese, or Sundanese, and is Islamite.
