Pekka Kokko

Pekka Kokko is the founder, guitarist and vocalist of the band Ancestor, founded in 1991 and now known as Kalmah. He is capable of both high-pitched screaming and lower pitched death growl vocals, the latter of which was first used in Kalmah's album, The Black Waltz.

Pekka is a self-taught guitarist who first played the instrument at the age of 13. His favourite song is "Alteration" from the band's debut album Swamplord. He current uses a custom Amfisound guitar with Randall amplifiers, and claims Judas Priest, Megadeth, Death and Paradise Lost as his influences.
