Sri Sri "108" Vishwesha Teertharu of Pejawar is known by his followers as Pejawar Swamiji. Pejawar math (Pejavara) is one among the ashta mathas of Udupi, a famous Dwaita philosophy center.
Vishwesh Teerth took sanyas at the very young age of 8 in the year 1938. His vidya guru is Vidyamanya Teerth of Bhandarkeri Math. The Swami assumed first paryaya, turn to worship Lord Krishna at Udupi, at a young age.
The swami is involved in various social service organisations, and is said to have started many educational and social service organisations.
The Akhila Bharat Madhwa Maha Mandal[ABMM] center started by the swami is said to have helped many of poor students. He has established math centres at various holy places in India. These centres are of great help to many pilgrims.
He is one of advisers to VHP. He was in the forefront in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. He has also led the Go Raksha (Cow Protection) movement.
