[edit] Club career

Peguero started with Haitian club Don Bosco FC, before moving to the American Major League Soccer championship in March 2004 to play for the Colorado Rapids. Peguero finished his first season with the Rapids with seven goals and four assists in only 18 games. In his second season, he scored seven goals and had six assists before the Rapids traded Peguero to Red Bull New York in April 2006 for Thiago Martins. Peguero scored six goals in 12 games for Red Bull New York, in addition to two goals in a friendly match against German team Bayern Munich.

In July 2006, he was transferred to Danish Superliga club Brøndby IF. On the 5th of August 2006, Peguero scored a goal in his debut for Brøndby; the third goal in a 3-0 win over AC Horsens. However, in a match against Viborg FF on August 20, Peguero ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament in his right knee as he scored Brøndby's third goal in the 3-0 win. It was estimated that his recovery would last 7 to 8 months,[3] yet Peguero has not played for Brøndby's Superliga side since, and it had been unknown for some time when he would return to the squad.[4]

On April 15, 2008, Peguero briefly joined the San Jose Earthquakes on loan from Brøndby, but persistent problems with his knee forced an early end to the loan.[5]

[edit] International career

Peguero is also a significant force on the Haitian national team, having appeared for the side 10 times, as well as an additional nine for the U-23 team. He made his full debut for Haiti in a July 2003 friendly match against St Kitts & Nevis, his last international match was a June 2004 World Cup qualifying match against Jamaica.
