[edit] Music of the United States
Long-standing project of mine that I have finally got to a good point. It's unavoidably long, but if anyone sees anything that can logically be cut, please do so or leave a note. Also, I'm having trouble finding something reasonable to reference for the last few sections - "industry" through "holidays and festivals". Tuf-Kat 07:59, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
- It's a good article that does do a pretty decent job of covering the subject in some depth. There were only a few minor topics that I could suggest: mention might be made of the role music plays at American college sporting events; possibly add a brief comment about the later partial revival of disco, and make some mention of the interest and influence in Electronica, New Age-y, and experiments in multi-genre fusions. Thanks. — RJH 16:10, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
- You might want to add some reference to musical theatre, i.e. Rodgers and Hammerstein. Even just a passing reference, but Broadway was, and still is, important to American music. --kralahome 05:30, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- Ouch, that must've got accidentally cut while reorganizing somewhere. Good catch... Tuf-Kat 05:43, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
