Pedro Verdugo de Albornoz Ursúa, Academician between 1715 and 1720 of the Real Academia Española de la Lengua, founded just in 1712 by King Felipe V of Spain, Caballero of the Order of Alcantara since 1668, (Carmona, province of Sevilla, baptised Sevilla, 22 November 1657 - married Sevilla 6 January 1685 - 1720), 2nd Count of Torrepalma, title given to his father Alonso Verdugo y Albornoz, (Carmona, province of Seville, baptised 12 February 1623 - married 31 August 1653 in Carmona 15 year old Maria Antonia de Ursúa y Egues, the sevillian daughter of navarrese Pedro de Ursúa y Arizmendi, born July 1586, Count of Gerena, Viscount of Ursúa and Señor of Ursúa, Baron of Oticoren - after 7 December 1695) by King Charles II of Spain on 4 November 1680.

Besides being one of the first Academicians of the Real Academia Española, he was the father of the 3 Count of Torrepalma Alonso Verdugo de Castilla , (Alcala la Real, province of Jaen, September , 1706 - Torino, Italy, March 1767) a member also, as his father here mentioned, Pedro, who was Academician between 1715 and 1720, of the Real Academia Española de la Lengua but between 1740 and 1767
