Pediatric end-stage liver disease

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pediatric end-stage liver disease (PELD) is a disease severity scoring system for children under 18 years of age. It is calculated from the patient's albumin, bilirubin, and international normalized ratio (INR) together with the patient's age and degree of growth failure. This score is also used by the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) for prioritizing allocation of liver transplants.
