Pedakakani is a village and a mandal in Guntur district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India. It is located in the suburban area of Guntur City towards North-East. Well known is this region as a pilgrimage place for three major religions:
- Swasthisala - Christian community. It is believed that who ever attends the community prayers on Mondays will be healed any diseases.
- Sivalayam - Has a mentioning of this temple in puranas and sacred place for Hindus in this region. And puranas says that Bharadwaja muni stayed here during his journey towards south of India from Kasi.
- Darga - People believe that who ever visits this place on Fridays will be freed from all evil forces.
The village is divided by the National Highway #5 and is 8km from the district head quarters. [1]
