[edit] "Par 3" Picture

I may be wrong, but that picture does not look like a hole at Pebble Beach. Could someone please give some kind of proof, and the actual number hole it is, either the 7th or 17th?

Judging by the lead image, I think you can eliminate the 17th hole as an option. It shows a steep drop into the ocean for the 17th green, while the "Par 3" picture seems to slope gradually into the ocean. --Tewy 06:16, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
I've contacted the uploader for further explanation. --Tewy 06:21, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
You're definately right there, and from the pictures i've seen of the 7th hole there, I don't think its that either. But again, I may be wrong.Grover 00:42, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure i've found this hole on google earth, it's actually a hole on Monterey Peninsula Country Club. Whilst it is a golf course in pebble beach, it doesnt belong in this article. Grover 07:44, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
Hi there. I took the photo, but it was a few years ago, and I don't recall which course it was, never mind which hole (I wasn't playing golf, just driving around California). It was taken from the edge of the road, and I liked how the hole was practically in the Pacific! Is there an overhead map of all the Pebble Beach courses? I might be able to identify it from that. — Nicholas (reply) @ 20:42, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
From a simple Google search, I found this, but I'm sure there are others you could go off of, such as the satellite image, also from Google. --Tewy 21:02, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
I searched for this hole, and i think i found it here. Its part of the Monterey Peninsula Golf Club. Grover 07:48, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
I had noticed this once before, and even found the right hole using Google Maps, but completely forgot to come back to it. A bit more research finds that it's the 14th hole on the Dunes Course at the Monterey Peninsula Country Club (like you said). There's another picture here, partway down the page. I updated the image's description on commons. Carl Lindberg 04:34, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Article Improvements

I've expanded the article significantly and, as a result, removed the stub tag and upgraded the article's quality to Start class. However, I've only just joined WP:GOLF and am perfectly happy to have these ratings reversed or altered by others. SJS1971 16:28, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
