Pearl Jr. is an activist first and foremost. And through her activism, she has written 3 books, The Climate: A Perspective Unvisited, "How To Tame A Dawg" & "Black Women Need Love, too", produced TV shows, DVD, and is a social commentator.
She hosted and produced the TV show, "TRUtalk: Straight Outta LA" that aired in 2004-2005 available to a million people in the greater Los Angeles area, leading her production company (Elbow Grease Productions) to being the only Black-owned media credentialed to cover the Michael Jackson Trial. In addition to her coverage of the trial via her TV show, she produced the DVD, "Behind the Scenes at the Michael Jackson Trial", which tells the TRUE facts in the case against the KING OF POP!
Pearl Jr. is also a reoccurring commentator on KABC talk radio and was named "a part of the new Black Leadership Regime" in Black Enterprise Magazine in 2004. She has been interviewed by Tavis Smiley and has been a guest on The Bev Smith Show, The Al Rantel Show (kabc), The Larry Elder Show, The Michael Medved Show plus several other radio shows.

With her newly released book, "Black Women Need Love, too", she has launched a new website: www.BlackWomenNeedLovetoo.com, in which she exposes the conspiracy to keep Black Women single. This book could be the most important book that any Black person can read. Her current activism is to make aware the epedemic single status of Black women, which leads to single parent households, dysfunctional families, and poverty.
Pearl Jr. is also a mother of two and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Radio/TV/Film with a minor in African-American Studies, graduated in 1989 with honors.
