Talk:Pearl City, Boca Raton, Florida

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Pearl City entry was begun by someone else, but had typos and inaccuracies in it. I cleaned it up and added that Pearl City was the all-black district of Boca Raton. I also added the Remembering Pearl City book and the weblink to the Boca Raton Historical Society page on Pearl City. I was a volunteer at BRHS a few years ago, so that is how I became familiar with the town, but I am no expert. Two things that really need to be added to this article (1) the laws the black inhabitants of the town were subjected to (curfews, etc.) and (2) when Pearl City was dissolved and Boca Raton was no longer segregated. Well I have to say you did a pretty awsome job there ;) The BRHS is awsome! I go there anytime I can.
