[edit] east-west line on a ridge?
I am not sure what the person means when they say Peachtree is not on a ridge. Going from anywhere to peachtree street is always "up".
[edit] Accuracy disputed
Cassowary added the notice with the summary, "Old Peachtree Street Road Highway" almost certainly does not exist. what else is wrong?. That much seems obvious to me and a Google search supports it, so I removed that bit of information from the article and invited its original contributor, Ortolan88, to weigh in.
On a side note, this article is in real need of work and I'll see what I can do in the coming weeks. The article is a mess now but I'd like to see it get up to Good or even Featured status. — GT 11:53, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
- I wrote this on my talk page shortly after posting the disputed notice:
- In the unlikely event that anyone comes here looking for my contribution to the Talk:Peachtree Street page in relation to my dispute of that page, I apologise for not including it, but my ISP has an open proxy and I get randomly blocked and that happened while I was editing! But it's included in the edit log: Old Peachtree Street Road Highway almost certainly doesn't exist, at least not with the specification given. Knowing that that's inaccurate, I don't know how much else we can trust the rest of that page. I hope some Atlantan can help fix it! (13:29, 20 May 2006 (UTC))
- (I'd also done a Google search to try and determine if it exists or not.)

- Ah, I should have checked there first. Thanks for pointing out the (apparent) mistake. — GT 23:43, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
The information about West Peachtree Street has been changed to be incorrect (or at least misleading). It is generally one block west of Peachtree, but in some places is as much as three (at 10th). They also cross, and there is a portion of West Peachtree that is actually east of Peachtree, north of 19th. Poochner 20:10, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Photos + sections
I added a couple of pictures and divided the article into sections. Consider the photos placeholders until better ones come along as I don't think they're the greatest. — GT 00:11, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] how many streets contain the word "peachtree" in the city of atlanta- in the perimeter?
how many streets contain the word "peachtree" in the city of atlanta- in the perimeter?
When I checked in the spring, it was in the low dozens. It's also common in the surrounding areas, as there is a Peachtree City to the SW, and a Peachtree Corners to the NE. Poochner 20:01, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
