Pearl Lowe (born April 7, 1970 in Wimbledon, London) is a singer-songwriter turned fashion and textiles designer. She is best known as the vocalist of mid-1990s indie bands Powder and Lodger which she fronted after a brief period at LAMDA and as a solo-artist under the name Pearl. Her longtime partner is Supergrass drummer Danny Goffey, with whom she has three children, Alfie (born 1996), Frankie (born 1999), and Betty (born 2005). She also has a daughter, Daisy Lowe (born 1989), with singer Gavin Rossdale. [1] They live in the somerset countryside, after residing in North London for many years.[2] .[3] She is also known for her friendships with, Rhys Ifans and Liv Tyler amongst many others and as a prominent face during the Britpop period of the 1990's.
In 2001, Lowe launched Pearl Lowe, signature range of lace curtains, cushions and subsequently hand-made dresses.[4]
In July 2007, Lowe published her memoir All That Glitters a somber look at overcoming addiction published by Hodder & Stoughton.[3]
Lowe occasionally models, represented by Premier Model Management, was briefly the face of Agent Provocateur. She is also is the ambassador for the homeless charity Crisis.[5]
