Peach Orchard is located at 36°16′47″N, 90°39′50″W (36.279666, -90.663871)[1].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2.6 km² (1.0 mi²), none of it covered by water.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 195 people, 78 households, and 56 families residing in the town. The population density was 76.1/km² (197.9/mi²). There were 97 housing units at an average density of 37.8/km² (98.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 97.44% White, 2.56% from other races. 2.56% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There were 78 households out of which 32.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.7% were married couples living together, 9.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.2% were non-families. 28.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 17.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.50 and the average family size was 2.98.

In the town the population was spread out with 25.1% under the age of 18, 6.2% from 18 to 24, 28.2% from 25 to 44, 23.6% from 45 to 64, and 16.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 89.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 89.6 males.

The median income for a household in the town was $30,000, and the median income for a family was $25,750. Males had a median income of $25,833 versus $20,500 for females. The per capita income for the town was $11,051. About 24.5% of families and 18.3% of the population were below the poverty line, including 5.6% of those under the age of eighteen and 42.3% of those sixty five or over.
