The Peace and Progress Party is a British political party founded by Vanessa Redgrave to campaign for human rights. Combining members like the Redgraves, formerly leading figures in the Marxist Party, with others from the media and legal fields, the party functions as a campaigning force for the rights of refugees and political dissidents. According to its Electoral Commission registration its leader is Corin Redgrave (Vanessa Redgrave's brother), Chris Cooper the nominating officer, and Vivian Yates the treasurer.^[1]

Peace and Progress made a negligible impact at the 2005 general election although it is likely that its founders regard electoral work as of secondary importance to gaining publicity for their causes.
