PE International, a sustainability company based in Stuttgart, Germany, is the world's largest working group in the field of Life Cycle Assessment and Life Cycle Engineering.[1] Originally a spin off of the University of Stuttgart, PE International is now a global organization with subsidiaries in Denmark, Austria, United Kingdom, United States, Australia and Japan, as well as a network of sales partners across the globe [2].

PE International offers the following software products, as well as an integrated package of training and support for companies wishing to develop internal sustainability assessment capabilities:


For Life cycle Assessment - Gabi software:

  1. GaBi: For industry, consulting, and research facilities doing commercial LCA work (price includes full service); no limitation in duration of using the tool.
  2. GaBi academy: For non commercial usage e.g. thesis, seminar paper, dissertation (price includes full service); no limitation in duration of using the tool.
  3. GaBi edu: For teaching at colleges/universities (price includes service); no limitation in duration of using the tool.
  4. GaBi student (free of cost): Free version for students (limited license for 1 year) for non commercial usage.
  5. GaBi temporary: GaBi 4.2 software for a limitied period, price on request depending on database and utilization period required
  6. GaBi test license (free of cost): Free version (time limited license for up to 3 months) for testing purposes only.

For corporate sustainability management and reporting - SoFi software:

  1. SoFi EH&S for Environmental Management and Occupational Safety
  2. SoFi CSM for Sustainable Corporate Management
  3. SoFi EM for Emissions Management and Benchmarking
