PCM High School

The PCM school district is made up of two consolidated towns, Prairie City, and Monroe. It is a 2A school district in the heart of Iowa.

In 1992 the Monroe Wildcats and the Praire City Plainsmen consolidated to form the PCM Mustangs. The school's High school sports achievements are five trips to the state playoffs and two trips to the state semifinals at the UNI dome in Cedar Falls. In basketball the Mustangs also went to the playoffs multiple times, making it to the quarter finals and then winning the last state 2A state championship played in Veterans Memorial Auditorium before it was moved to Wells Fargo Arena. In 2008 the Highschool boys won the 2A golf state championship.
