PCD is the debut album by American girl group the Pussycat Dolls, released by A&M Records on September 13, 2005 in the United States. It was produced by Timbaland, Cee-Lo Green, will.i.am, and Rich Harrison, amongst others, and incorporates a mixture of contemporary pop/dance/R&B originals, jazz-influenced tracks, and cover versions. The album was a commercial success, and has gone on to sell over six million units worldwide,^[1] spawning seven singles.

The album ended 2006 as the twenty-eighth best-selling album in the United Kingdom, with sales of 536,340 copies,^[2] in 2006 and 574,000 in 2005, meaning it sold over 1.1 million in the UK and as the sixteenth best selling album in the Netherlands.^[3]

[edit] Commercial usage

• "Right Now" was used in commercials to promote the hit TV show 'Desperate Housewives' and "Don't Cha" was used in the season two episode, "Could I Leave You?".
• "Right Now" was used in a NBA promo.
• "Bite the Dust" has been used for a news broadcast in the Philippines.
• "Wait a Minute" was heard various times on Filipino game shows (the song was heard in a Best Buy music commercial)
• "Don't Cha Remix" was used to promote Australia's Next Top Model, Cycle 2.
• "Don't Cha" was used in several movie trailers including Norbit, Wild Hogs and Alvin and the Chipmunks. It was also used in a Heineken beer commercial although The Pussycat Dolls were not the ones singing.
• "Don't Cha" was featured in the 2004 edition of the WWE Diva Search Competition.
• A version of "Buttons" was used during WWE diva Kelly Kelly's exposé segment on the ECW on Sci-Fi program.
• "Don't Cha" was also used a track for a commercial of The Life and Times of Juniper Lee on the Cartoon Network.
• "Hot Stuff (I Want You Back)" is featured on the Clubland CD release Dancemania 2, even though the song has not been released.
• "Hot Stuff (I Want You Back)" was used to promote America's Next Top Model, Cycle 7.
• "Right Now" was used to promote "Reids Furniture" sale in 2008.
