PC Points

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

PC Points is a rewards program offered by President's Choice Financial when users utilize their MasterCard, banking services or insurance products.

Points can be earned by:

  • Using a PC Financial debit card at a participating Loblaw Companies-affiliated store. Debit card holders accumulate points at Loblaws stores outside Quebec.
  • All purchases made using a PC MasterCard.
  • Paying for PC Insurance products with a PC debit card (outside Quebec) or MasterCard.
  • Daily banking
  • GIC and other financial products
  • Mortgages

The stated rate of points acquisition is 10 points for every dollar spent on the PC MasterCard, or 5 points per dollar spent on the PC debit card. Promotions are sometimes used to give bonus points on specific products[1]. For example, a bonus of 50 PC Points can be earned for using a PC Green shopping bag at a Loblaws-affiliated store and paying with a PC Financial debit card or PC MasterCard.

10,000 PC Points generally equals $10. Points can be redeemed for free groceries or other rewards. Points may be redeemed once a customer has 20,000 points or more banked. Customer must also have a second form of payment once are used (as customers can only use points in multiples of 10,000, depending on the total or amount of points the customer has banked). Points may not be redeemed for items such as alcohol, tobacco, lottery tickets, prescription medication and milk in Quebec.

As of May 31, 2007, President's Choice Financial is no longer a Petro-Points exchange partner.
