PBS World is a 24-hour digital channel showing PBS documentaries, primarily science, current affairs, and history programs. It is a joint venture between PBS, Boston's WGBH, and New York City's WNET. It first launched in New York and Boston as Thirteen WORLD and WGBH World months before launching nationally on 15 August 2007. As of the national launch, it reached 26% of American homes.
