PBSI

The Badminton Association of Indonesia or PBSI (Indonesian: Persatuan Bulutangkis Seluruh Indonesia; sometimes translated as All Indonesia Badminton Association) is the governing body of badminton in Indonesia. It was founded on September 13, 1958, 13 years after Indonesia's independence. PBSI joined the Badminton World Federation in 1970 and Badminton Asia Confederation in 1979. Indonesian badminton is ranked 3rd in the world according to BWF's 2006 rankings. PBSI is also the governing body of the Indonesia national badminton team. Sutiyoso, the former Governor of Jakarta, is the current president of PBSI.
