PBM Products, LLC was founded in 1997 by Paul B. Manning. Since then PBM Products has been marketing and distributing infant formulas to more than 20,000 retail locations throughout the world. The outfit partners with leading food and drug retailers to provide a quality, competitively priced product to customers labeled under the store brands of companies such as Wal-Mart, Target Co, Kroger, Loblaws, and Walgreens.
PBM is headquartered in Gordonsville, VA at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains. PBM promotes infant and adult well-being by providing families with advanced nutrition at lower prices; providing retail partners an opportunity to create identity and market differentiation through store brands; and by providing a balance of marketing and education to consumer and professional health care communities. The $200 million enterprise consists of PBM Products, PBM Nutritionals, PBM Pharmaceuticals, and PBM’s international holdings, including PBM Products Mexico, S. de R.L de C.V.

[edit] Advanced Nutritional Formulations
PBM Products markets and distributes infant and toddler formulas, diabetic products and other pediatric nutritional products to leading retailers throughout the United States. The company was the first to introduce private label (store brand) infant formula in the U.S.A.
With its expanding product lines, retail partners, and customer base, the PBM family of companies is expanding in food, nutritional, and pharmaceutical product categories in the United States and overseas. In 2007 PBM was ranked by Entrepreneur Magazine among the Hot 500 fastest-growing businesses in America.
[edit] Infant Formula Manufacturing in Vermont
PBM Nutritionals manufactures store brands and Ultra Bright Beginnings infant formula in the only ISO 9001:2000-certified manufacturing facility in the US. Their facility is located in Georgia, Vermont and has been manufacturing infant formula for more than 20 years.
[edit] Expanding Product Line
PBM Products has recently expanded it's product line to offer a line of fruit servings for babies and toddlers to be first sold under Wal-Mart’s Parent’s Choice brand. This new product line will compete with larger baby food companies such as Gerber and will include four flavors.
In 2006 PBM introduced a line of small fruits and puffed grain snacks in a variety of flavors that is distributed to Wal-Mart and other retailers under each store’s brand name.

PBM Pharmaceuticals works towards developing new products that will help improve health and quality of life. Their products focus on supplemental nutrition as adjunctive measures to promote health and well-being. The company provides prescription formulations, including Animi-3 and the Donnatal products indicated for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

PBM International now offers store brand infant formula, toddler formula and nutritional products to the global market. PBM is established in Canada, Mexico, Europe, China, and South Africa. They also have distribution to major retailers in several continents. PBM’s formulas are qualified for export and meet the nutritional levels recommended by the U.S. National Academy of Science-National Research Council and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

PBM is also a part of the diabetes products market. This line of products began with the introduction of its GlucoBurst. These products are specifically designed to improve the lives of people with diabetes and/or mild hypoglycemia. A portion of the sale of GlucoBurst products are donated to diabetes research. To date PBM has donated several million dollars to diabetes research through its nonprofit, Focus to Cure Diabetes Foundation. (www.tocurediabetes.org).
