Payton Tapp Watkins

Born November 6, 1981 in Fort Worth Texas, and living abroad most of his life has been a true blessing for this next African American icon. We all take great leaps of faith and believe in ourselves, some more than others. Being the first to do anything takes courage and pride this is what Professional Race Car Driver Payton Tapp Watkins is all about. Racing has been in his blood since he first raced in his open cart, from there the winning started. Payton was on to something he started his winning ways in 1996 & 1997 and the Italian Senior Title in 1998. Payton went onto the prestgious F3 series and had the pole positon 8 out of 14 times and Rookie of the Year honors. Now he is poised for his run at the world renowned F1 (Formula 1) racing series. Payton’s next stop: racing for the Toyota Jr. Team as he races in the International Formula 2000s Series (Team Pro Motorsports) to hone his skills and make the leap to F1 in 2008.
