[edit] Plot Summary

After Sully kills one of the perpetrators, Sasha and Maritza continue to work on the prostitution case.

[edit] Plot Details

Continuing Surrender, Sully kills one of the perpetrators and gets the denotator safely. Meanwhile, Doc and Kim are patrolling the streets, and suddenly, a city bus collides into their ambulance. As they get down, they realize there are many people hurt, among them a girl who looks confounded, but is quickly dismissed by Doc. As paramedic Eugene gets to the scene, Doc goes ballistic at him and physically assaults him. A man who was walking by claims he was hurt in the accident too, but Doc realizes he is lying. The man points at a seizing girl, who turns out to be the same one that Kim had examined before. They take her to the hospital, and Eugene tells Kim and Carlos that Doc had previously gone to his house and accused him of "killing" Taylor (he had not gone to work that day, and Alex had substituted him). They refuse to believe his story and Eugene quits. Moments later, Carlos talks to Doc later and finds out that it was true that he had gone to Eugene's house. As for the prostitution case, Public Morals raids Dr. Chow's office, and all the girls are left to go, but Maritza is resistant on filing a complaint against his rapist. Sasha forces her to reveal her rape to send Warner into jail (he had previously raped other women working in the place). Davis questions the surviving perpetrator, Frank Morgan, and gets him to accuse Gary Barnes (Sully had shut the door and said he was not going to open it until Morgan confessed), and Judge Barbara comes in and tells Morgan that she will make sure he gets the death penalty for the slaughtering of her housekeeper (who died in the flower bomb explosion) and her driver (who died when a bomb was placed in her car). Meanwhile, Faith is at home trying to sleep, but she is still having flashbacks of the shooting (she gets scared after Fred accidentally drops some books), and she asks him if they can go away from New York to go on vacation, to what Fred agrees. While Bosco is transporting Warner to the Tombs, Warner confesses he raped Maritza. At first, Bosco is shocked, but he phones Maritza. When she arrives, Bosco acts a scene, saying that his car patrol has a flat tyre and tells Maritza to do what she wants, but she only gets Warner by the hair and says he will be sorry for what he did. When Warner arrives at Tombs, he gets a taste of his own medicine, from a pair of convicts saying they have a message from her. As he is going home, Sully meets Judge Barbara (who was riding a motorcycle) and they drink coffee together.

[edit] Trivia

  • Sully has a wedding ring in his hand in the last scene of this episode, although he previously had left it on his wife's coffin in Season 4.
  • Although the ambulance crashed into the bus, when Doc examines the girl, it is intact.

[edit] Quotes

  • Bosco: How are you doing?
  • Maritza: Im OK. Bosco, that was nice...it was nice you calling.
  • Bosco: Yeah. And next time before I push the knife in remind me I’m just gonna have to change the damn tire. So he made it all the way to central booking alive?
  • Maritza: Yeah. Not a scratch. (Long silence) So, I guess I’ll see you, huh?
  • Bosco: You want to get something to eat, or something?
  • Maritza: Would you be asking me that if it was Tuesday? (Bosco doesn’t answer). Lets pretend it’s Tuesday.
  • Bosco: You didn’t deserve what happened to you. (Maritza stops walking, looks down, and then keeps walking).
