Payap University

Payap University is a university in Thailand. It was established in 1974 as a private institution founded by the Church of Christ in Thailand. Payap is a founding member of the Association of Private Higher Education Institutions in Thailand, and an active member of the Association of Christian Universities and Colleges in Asia, as well as the Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning. In 1984, it was the first private institution granted university status in Thailand.

Payap University is located in Chiang Mai, and is a Liberal Arts and Pre-Professional School offering 24 Thai language undergraduate degrees in 9 faculties. The name "Payap" is another Thai word for "Northwestern" in reference to the region of the country where the university is located.

Payap has an International College where all courses are taught in English.
