Paxton is an Anglo-Saxon word derived from "gardiner".[1] As early as the 6th century, Anglo-Saxons began crossing from the European continent and settling in Great Britain. The family name Paxton seems to originate in Great Britain around 1250 AD.[1] From there, the name later spread to America and many other places around the world.
