Pavel Hapal

Pavel Hapal (born July 27, 1969 in Kroměříž) is a former Czech football player and now a football manager.
He started in SK Sigma Olomouc. After elimination of Bayer Leverkusen in UEFA Cup 1992 by Sigma Olomouc his performance in these matches earned him contract in Leverkusen. The money received from this transfer have been used to install the lights at Sigma stadium.
With Bayer Leverkusen he won DFB-Pokal in 1993.
He also played for CD Tenerife. On the national level he played for Czechoslovakia and later Czech Republic, earning total 31 caps and scoring one goal.
He coached Czech Gambrinus liga team FC Baník Ostrava and Slovak club FC Nitra. Now coaches FK Mladá Boleslav.
