Pavel Annenkov

Pavel Vasilyevich Annenkov (1814-1887) was a significant Russian literary critic and historian. He was a friend of Turgenev, and correspondent of Karl Marx. He edited the first major edition of Pushkin's works in 1855.
He is known for his memoirs A Remarkable Decade, the title of which has become attached to the Russian literary generation coming up in the 1830s and 1840s.
