[edit] Usage
The {{Football}} project banner template should be added (not subst:ed) to the talk page of every article within the scope of the project. While the template does not require any additional parameters, it has an optional class parameter that add an extra feature to the banner. The full syntax is as follows:

- The class and importance parameters are ratings of the article's quality and importance; see the assessment department for more details.
- The Non-League parameter should only be included (with value yes) on article relating to English non-League football
- The Irish parameter should only be included (with value yes) on article relating to Irish football
- The England parameter should only be included (with value yes) on articles relating to England football. They will then be added to the England Task Force.
- The Netherlands parameter should only be included (with value yes) on articles relating to Dutch football. They will then be added to the Netherlands Task Force.
