These are some of my thoughts regarding Wikipedia. Yes that means they are my thoughts and therefore do not represent anybody but me.

Unlike some projects pre-dating Wikipedia (especially Linux like operating systems), Wikipedia is one the few examples of GPLicsencing that the completely non-technically inclined have heard of and to some extent understand.
The mere fact that Wikipedia is not a huge mess of spam, porn and personal insults is damn good evidence that not only are there a large amount of sensible and mature people using the internet but that they outnumber the complete cocks who make it seem so bad at times.

Discussions being the same as articles doesn't work that well. If Wikipedia weren't so established in it's ways then a hybrid between a Wiki and a Discussion forum would be fantastic.

No real explination is given about the wikipedia logo. What on earth is it supposed to be?
