Professor Kennedy is an important British historian. His work on the Rise and Fall of Great Powers, although a dispassionate academic work, got him vilified by the right wing in America. However, events since 2001, when thew Bush Administartion has trid to run an Imperial foreign policy on the back of the printing press and moneies borrowed from foreigners is a finde siecle situation. There ares now increasing doubts gloabally about the continued ability of the US to maintain its position as the sole dominant power in coming decades. kennedy was at the forefront in rainsing this issue. The article does not adequately reflect his contribution to the debate in my view.

==Note on cut-and-paste move==
This article was created as a cut-and-paste move by User:Pawley from the page that is now Paul Kennedy (disambiguation), though at the time the disambiguation article was named Paul Kennedy and focused exclusively the historian. —Lowellian (talk) 08:36, May 27, 2005 (UTC)
Is this Paul Kennedy not the same one that hosts the CBC radio program?
