Talk:Paul Herscu

[edit] Questionable tagging
I don't want to initiate (or perpetuate) a revert war here, but it is easily verifiable that Paul Herscu has written a number of books on homeopathy, and that he founded the New England School of Homeopathy. It is also easy to verify that he speaks at a number of conferences and is cited in the literature on homeopathy. I will add references to that point, but if the response is that anything published by adherents of homeopathy automatically is an unreliable source, we'll be at an impasse here. We'll see how the reaction is, but the tag seems suspect. --Leifern 21:05, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- Never mind, someone else added the links. I'll give other editors 24 hours to either remove the tag themselves or give a good reason why it should stay; otherwise, off it goes. --Leifern 21:07, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] ?AFD
Is this article being considered for deletion? I can't find a talk page for an AFD, but there is an AFD sort of an infobox at the top. I'm a fairly new editor and I really don't understand what's going on with this. This guy is a homeopath who has written several books on homeopathy, is a leader in the homeopathic community, and runs a school of homeopathy. I think he is probably notable by Wikipedia:Notability (people)#special cases since he is regarded as an important figure by peers. I'm going to try to improve the article, but I don't see why it doesn't deserve a chance. Abridged 17:08, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
- The article was nominated for an uncontested deletion using the "prod" tag. This tag is used for articles that are not actively being edited and/or whose deletion would be uncontroversial. Someone added notability info and contested the prod tag, and the article did not go to a formal AFD discussion. You can read more about deletion policies and procedures at WP:DELETE. - Thanks for that info. The policies are a bit confusing for the newcomer. In any case, I've just attempted to improve the article and have added cites to book reivews to establish notability. Abridged 17:55, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
