I've seen no evidence that Cress was "one of the co-creators of the first Fortran compiler". Backus' team was well documented. The 1st Fortran was completed in 1957; Cress was born in 1939 - he was only 18 years old when Fortran shipped! Rwwww 08:50, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

Further, the WATFIV page does not list Cress as working on the 7040 version, only on the 360.

Last, this page provides no information that is not redundant with the WATFIV page. I'd change the two links to this page to point to WATFIV, revise that page some if you want, and delete this page.Rwwww 16:23, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
