Paulo Cesar Duque-Estrada

Paulo Cesar Duque-Estrada is Professor of Philosophy and Associate Vice-President for Academic Affairs - Graduate Programs and Research - of the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro - PUC-Rio).

He received both his B.A. and his M.A. from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and his Ph.D. from Boston College. In 1999-2000 he developed a post-doctoral research program on the subject of Hermeneutics and Deconstruction at New School for Social Research, New York.

[edit] Study Group in Ethics and Deconstruction

In 2002 he founded, along with some of his post-graduate students, the Study Group in Ethics and Deconstruction (NEED- Núcleo de Estudos em Ética e Desconstrução), dedicated to the thought of the French philosopher Jacques Derrida.
