Paula Tallal

Paula Tallal (1947) is a Rutgers Board of Governors Professor of Neuroscience and co-director of the Center for Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience (CMBN) at Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey.[1] Professor Tallal is an active participant on many scientific advisory boards and government committees for both learning disabilities and developmental language disorders. Furthermore, Dr. Tallal has published over 150 papers on the topic of language and learning and is the recipient of national and international honors.

In 1996, Dr. Tallal co-founded the Scientific Learning Corporation, the producer of Fast ForWord, “revolutionary software introduced in 1997, that puts users through an intensive computer-generated linguistic therapy session.”[2]
