Paula Lemyre

Paula Lemyre (September, 1978 -) is the former host of YTV's Saturday morning programming block, Vortex. She is an alumna of Ryerson University of Toronto where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism in 1997. She has since worked with TSN, TVOntario, NHL Network, Discovery Channel and YTV.
Lemyre was auditioned and hired at YTV under then-producer Christine McGlade, former host of popular Nickelodeon sketch comedy You Can't Do That On Television with Alanis Morissette.
In her programming block at YTV, Lemyre appeared during commercial breaks and in between programming presenting trivia (known as ACTIONBITZ) on the shows that make up the block, interviewing various voice actors, and highlighting different physical activities while encouraging viewers to become more active. Lemyre herself took part in the many activities that she encouraged. As demanded by her job, she is an accomplished gymnast and enjoys many outdoor activities such as snowboarding, skydiving, and mountain biking.
Lemyre left Vortex and YTV after its grand finale on June 24, 2006. Her programming block has since been replaced with The Zone Summer Weekends followed by Crunch which is the current Saturday programming block. She currently hosts A World of Wonders on TVOntario. She is also filming as the host of a new show to be called Way2Cool for DiscoveryKids.
Lemyre is now the host of an educational kids travel show titled A World of Wonders which is currently airing its first season on TVontario.
