Paul Wecker

Paul Wecker (August 30, 1912 - September 5, 2004 )was an American artist who worked primarily with paints.

He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 30, 1912, the youngest of six children, to George Wecker and Minnie Jane Jacobs. Although born in St. Louis, he spent most of his life in Midland, Texas. He and his family were friends with the Bush family and he painted a portrait for President George W. Bush.

Wecker was a descendant of Reverend Martin Boehm who helped found the United Methodist Church.

President George W. Bush's mother-in-law Jenna Welch attended his 90th birthday party.

His artwork is on permanent display at the Petroleum Museum in Midland. Wecker died on September 5, 2004 in Midland, Texas.
