Paul Walton

Paul Walton (born 10th April 1973) is a British motoring journalist.

His career started in 1999 working for Classic Cars magazine before moving to BBC Top Gear Magazine in 2002.

Highlights included driving a twin-engined Citroën 2CV Sahara in the Israeli desert[1], driving a Ferrari 250 SWB on a closed off section of San Marino and taking a Gibbs Aquada amphibious car for a spin around Monte Carlo's harbour during the Monaco Grand Prix.

In 2005 he turned freelance, but kept his Top Gear links by editing BBC's Top Gear Test Drive Directory, a bi monthly buyer's guide. He also contributes to a range of specialist car magazines, and in the February 2007 issue of Classic & Sports Car drove the 1967 Jensen Nova concept, the first journalist to do so.

Other recent contributions include the story behind one man's 18-year restoration of a Lotus Cortina convertible in the June 2007 edition of Classics Monthly and the unique Rixon-Bucknall Jaguar XK140 special in the May 2008 edition of "Jaguar World". Other clients consist of The Goodwood Festival of Speed programme, the Alfa Romeo and Audi customer magazines and Ruoteclassiche, Italy's leading classic car magazine.

Paul currently resides in the East Midlands with his wife and family.
