Paul Anthony Saia (born April 15, 1956 in Fort Hood, Texas; died May 13, 2006 in Auburn, Alabama) was an American businessman. He is best known for his years of service to youth recreational basketball, football and baseball leagues and his unyielding battle with cancer. During his 5 year battle with cancer, he volunteered his time speaking with fellow cancer patients, offering up words of encouragement and inspiration. His continuous enthusiasm and happiness amidst unfortunate circumstance are a true testament to the depth of character he possessed. He was presented with the American Cancer Society's Lifetime Achievement Award. He was an avid fan of Auburn University and Auburn Football, where he attended college and graduated in 1978 with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and a Master's Degree in Business Administration. He played baseball for Auburn High School and Auburn University. He initially played 2 years of baseball at Auburn and was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He was an officer for many years in the Jefferson County Auburn Club in Birmingham, AL and President of the West Florida Auburn Club in Pensacola, FL. He also served as President of the Athletics Booster Club for John Carroll Catholic High School in Birmingham, AL.

Though work and family obligations would take him far from his beloved alma mater , his heart always remained in the loveliest village on the Plains and still rests there to this day.
