Paul Palnik

Paul Palnik (born 1946) is a Jewish-American artist, writer and educator.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Palnik introduced kabbalistic, spiritual themes, into his cartoons in the 1980s-1990s His cartoons could be described as equal parts graphic design, drawing, and literature. Palnik's images are pen and ink drawings, often rendered in minute detail. Palnik has described his work as centered on universal, spiritual, prophetic themes.

Many of Palnik's original drawings are in the collection of the Ohio State University Libraries in Columbus, Ohio and his work is also represented in The National Cartoon Museum Collection in New York City; formerly known as The International Museum of Cartoon Art. Numerous large paintings by Paul Palnik are in the collection of Camp Ramah in Conover, Wisconsin, where he is artist in residence. Palnik's paintings strive to depict man's relationship with God. Palnik lives in Columbus, Ohio.
