Paul LeRoy

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Paul LeRoy is one of many characters from Peter Kay's world of comedy.

He is a passionate 1980s music fan and fictional Radio DJ for a fictional Radio station called Chorley FM. He made two appearances in the hit comedy show That Peter Kay Thing, and a brief speech at the beginning of the very first episode of Phoenix Nights.

Paul LeRoy's birthdate is unknown, but his love of all things 80s suggests a birthdate around the late 1950s or early 1960s. He was certainly old enough to drive by the 1980s as he tells of how he drove home from Pontins in 1982 (while suffering from a fractured femur which he acquired from limbo dancing).

He dresses in fashion from the 1980s, that includes a mullet hairstyle and red rimmed glasses and lipstick of a camp style. His music taste is similar to his wardrobe, this can be seen through the episode in That Peter Kay Thing called "The Services". He often takes his radio show out on the road to various events and locations, often relying upon his long-suffering wife, Sandra to do all the heavy lifting. He is well known for his durastic punchline, "Chorley FM, coming in your ears!"
