Paul Hawkins is a London-based singer-songwriter who is a key figure in London's antifolk scene. He regularly records in collaboration with Death in Vegas and Dot Allison guitarist Ian Button (also formerly of the Thrashing Doves).
His debut album "The Misdiagnosis of Paul Hawkins" was released on AFUK Records in 2006. He has received UK national airplay on Radio 1 with his song "I'll Be Getting a Divorce for Christmas" and appeared on compilations for Cherryade Records, Jezus Factory Records and AFUK Records.
Live, Paul is regularly backed by Thee Awkward Silences, a collective of musicians including, amongst others, Ian Button, Tom Mayne (David Cronenberg's Wife), Alex Templeton-Ward (The Beat Maras) and Lunch.
